Jailbreaking iOS 4.2.1 on iPhone 4 in 5 Easy Steps
All this time I had been waiting for the unlock tool for my baseband 3.10.01 and was too scared to jailbreak the device on my own. Today, somehow I got the courage to finally do it. I asked myself “what do I have to lose?” and the answer was “nothing”. The beauty of having an Apple device is that you can restore it to its original settings with a click of a button.
Anyways it turns out jailbreaking iPhone with iOS 4.2.1 really isn’t difficult at all. In fact if you are doing it right you should be able to jailbreak it within a matter of minutes. Follow my guide below and lets get this party started
Note: Make sure you backup all your data before performing this jailbreak.
Step 1: Visit www.Greenp0ision.com and download the jailbreaking tool for your operating system. Fortunately it is available for all the major operating systems including Linux, Mac Os X and Windows.

Step 2: Once download, extract the file. You will be able to see a new GreenP0ision icon.

Step 3: Launch GreenP0ision and make sure your phone is powered off. This is where you get started

Step 4: Click “Prepare to Jailbreak (DFU)

Before you proceed you have to make sure you follow the onscreen instruction and the main thing is to match the timings. After “1” there is no “0” so you have to switch to next position right after “1” disappears.
- Press and hold the sleep button for 2 seconds
- Continue holding sleep; press and hold home for 10 seconds

- Release sleep button; continue holding home for 15 seconds

Note that you just might not be able to get it through the first time but you will get it in the next few attempts. When this is done successfully “jailbreaking” will start

Step 5: You will see some coding on your screen; indicating that your device is being jailbroken. It would look like this

Give it some time and as soon as it restarts you will see a new icon on your screen labeled “Loader”

Click on “Loader” to install Cydia;

I hope this helps =) if you have any questions feel free to use to comment box below and I’ll try to answer it.
