Download SnOwBreeze 1.6.2 To Fix Youtube & iBooks Issues
If you have a pre-4 iPhone (2G / 3G / 3GS) which you are running iOS 4.0 on, then most probably you have jailbroken your handset to take advantage of the non-Apple-authorized apps and of all that iOS has to offer. One of the most popular tools for jailbreaking iOS 4.0 on pre-4 iPhones is Sn0wbreeze 1.6.1; the tool is basically the PwnageTool 4.0.1 port for Windows that enabled the jailbreaking procedure with baseband preserve.
The jailbreaking methodology is quite similar to other tools: a custom firmware is cooked that includes Cydia; after loading your phone with the cooked firmware, your phone is restored with iTunes to run flawlessly.
After jailbreaking their pre-4 iPhone sets through Sn0wbreeze 1.6.1, many iPhone owners got a strange error. This error included problems with YouTube, iBook App, and problems with restoring the firmware. An error message of 1600/160x was shown in DFU mode and / or error 2 Restore Mode with the picture of the cable connecting to the iTunes Logo. Apparently the problem was with Sn0wbreeze; thankfully they have now released a version which fixes this problem once you jailbreak your iPhone with it. The new version is Sn0wbreeze 1.6.2 and it has been released by iH8sn0w.
