iOS 4 GM for iPhone 3GS Jailbroken
msft.guy is a popular iPhone hacker. He fixed the blacksn0w unlock for iPhone 3.1.3 05.11.07 baseband and recently released a method to unlock iPhone 3GS on iOS 4 Beta 4.
The latest in msft.guy’s achievements is PwnageTool bundles for iPhone 3GS for the iOS 4 Golden Master release. His bundle preserves your baseband which means you can still unlock your phone using ultrasn0w or blacksn0w.
msft.guy includes this as a description of the bundle: “3GS GM bundle.. Don’t forget to update Cydia or add OpenSSH and OpenSSL.”
Although there are video proofs of msft.guy’s procedures working perfectly, it would be advisable to stay clear of the bundle unless you are an iPhone expert. A better option would be to wait for iPhone Dev Team’s promised jailbreak plus unlock for iOS 4 later in this month; the official PwnageTool 4.0 will be more reliable option than msft.guy’s bundle.
