Torrents today have become a huge part of the internet experience of downloaders who fall in the ‘serious’ category, meaning they download 6GB games, BlueRay movies, and other various types of large files regularly. With countless torrent websites on it, the internet makes it very easy for anybody to learn about torrents. Sites like ThePirateBay and Demonoid let users download from the latest media online with ease. Countless users enjoy such torrent websites.
Once you get to a website, downloading the torrent file is quite easy and straightforward. However the process has not been shortened in any way and most of can only download these files by first searching for them on the site and then downloading them. If a torrent is not found on one site, we jump to the next. A solution to this torrent searching extra time-consumption is the recent emergence of desktop torrent clients. They are installable applications which let you search for a torrent from the convenience of your desktop.
If you feel like jumping from site to site searching for torrents is getting be too time wasting and are looking for a quicker way, then our list of today will surely be beneficial. We have gathered three of the best current desktop torrent client which you can use. Read on, read about them, and see which one appeals to you most.

TorrentMagnifier is a free torrent client that comes in three different modes. One of these modes is the installable desktop application which lets users run the application and search for a torrent over countless torrent sites. Torrent seeds and peers statistics plus the torrent hosting site is included with every search result; when a desired torrent is found, the ‘Go’ link can be clicked to be taken to the torrent’s page in your internet browser where you download the torrent from.
The second mode comes as a gadget for the Windows sidebar and gives users the option to always have torrent searching ability. Although it is not recommended as its size is quite large and inconvenient.
The last mode comes as a search accelerator for Internet Explorer; highlight a word, then right-click on the selection to present the option to search for it with TorrentMagnifier. The results are shown within Internet Explorer.
These three modes should be merged into the same application rather than separate installations, to give the user more options. But until that happens, choose which mode suits you best and go for it.
The official site seems to be down at this moment. This download link is provided by Addictivetips.com.

TorrentFetcher is a freeware merely ~400KB large and has a tiny memory footprint. It offers a better search features when compared to TorrenMagnifier. One of these better features is choosing a category to search from and the number of results you want displayed. In accordance with your selected options, the results will be shown and separated by green and white shades. The green ones are ‘healthy’ torrents and have a higher user rating. You can even see how many users have approved the torrent under the “+” column. Double clicking on any torrent will save it on your hard drive; now all you do is double click on this saved torrent file to have it opened with your torrent downloading client.
A feature that should be added to this great freeware is the visibility of the host site; it is not clearly determinable which torrent site do the torrents belong to. However the ‘health’ feature does somewhat make up for the lack of host site’s information, making TorrentFetcher a worthy choice for your desktop torrent client.
3. BitChe

BitChe (pronounce “bit chay”) is another great desktop torrent client. It is better than the TorrentFetcher and TorrentMagnifier in the sense that it eliminates duplicate results and lets users see the details of a torrent conveniently by right-clicking on any search result. Tabs are built-in and different searches can be executed in different tabs. We are even provided the Seeder-to-Leecher ratio which immediately gives us a clear idea about the health of a torrent. The website a torrent belongs to is also included in the presentation of our search results.
What is not included however, is the feature to see how many people have voted for the “goodness” of a torrent file (a feature present in TorrentFetcher). If BitChe incorporates this feature into itself as well, it will undoubtedly become the best desktop torrent client.
