All In One Backup Utility For All The Browsers
As a blogger who writes about various sites, I have to work with multiple internet browsers and check the compatibility of each online tool I explore. For the same purpose I need to test out latest browsers and match them with their previous versions. Recently I downloaded the beta 3.6 version of Firefox. It was strange to notice that the earlier 3.5 version was still installed on my PC and not updated; instead, both versions were installed as separate browsers.
Slightly confused at this peculiarity, I uninstalled the 3.5 version backing up neither my bookmarks nor my passwords. This non-backing-up blunder I made in haste cost me a lot of time when I started recollecting my Favorites and logging in to each site to save my passwords.
To make sure that I never again had to through a similar time wasting ordeal, I began my search for something that could easily backup Firefox data without my having to deal with all the import, export, save, or open options. The ideal solution would have been anything that would simply back up everything and restore it when I wanted it to. Initially I had envisioned a browser add-on.
A browser add-on with the said functionality, I could not find. What I could find however was FavBackup which was a million times better than whatever I was searching for!
FavBackup is a freeware program that easily lets you backup your browser’s data. And it supports not only Firefox but other browsers as well. Here is the compatible browsers’ list:
