How to Add Google Calendar in Chrome
Google Calendar is a highly useful tool employed by countless internet users. With its sleek interface and user-friendly layout, it attracts a huge audience of people who want to easily store their events online for access from any system with internet.
Another one of Google’s amazing products is Chrome, one of the fastest internet browsers. Fast loading speeds and virtually no clutter are the key features of its appeal.
Combine Google Chrome and Calendar and what you get is the Chrome Extension, Google Calendar Popout (GPC).
When Chrome users install this particular extension, they can see GPC’s icon next to the address bar:
Before you start using the extension, go over to your Google Calendar page once and click on the extension’s icon. Your Google calendar will now pop out in a small window:

From now on whatever page you are on, you can click on the GPC icon and your Calendar will pop out. The dates on the calendar in bold (8 and 16, in the image above) have some event scheduled. You can click on these dates and their respective events will be shown in the area below. The ‘Edit Visible Calendars’ link can be accessed to in the Options to specify which ones of your calendars’ events are being shown:

Also in Options, you can click on ‘Open Calendar’ to be taken to Google Calendar in a new Chrome window.
The extension provides easy and quick access to all users who use Chrome and Calendar however, if a few more features are added, this extension could turn into a must-have. One of these improvements could be the ability to add events in any date; currently you can only add events in today’s date. Support for the Sports Calendar could also be something that would improve the extension.
Apart from its minor shortcoming, the extension will still benefit most Calendar users who want a quick way to check out their events without having to log into Calendar in a separate browser window or tab.
