Unlock iPhone 3GS 3.0/iPhone 3G 3.0 with PurpleSnow
After the launch of Redsnow version 0.8 Geohot is also back yet again with a powerful to unlock iPhone 3GS 3.0. What makes Ultrasnow iPhone Dev Team unlock tool different from Purplesnow Geohot Unlock tool is that Ultrasnow is Demon which starts each time when you reboot your device while on the other hand Purplesnow is close to true soft unlock.
It patches with 3 files including CommCenter, Lockdownd and wildcard activation plist. Currently it does not offer support for hacktivation and you must first activate your iPhone 3GS with AT&T SIM.
After having a legit activated 3GS follow the intrustion below to unlock your iPhone
1. Disable 3G if you don’t have it (like T-Mobile).
2. Add apt.geohot.com to Cydia Add Package source list
3. Install com.geohot.purplesn0w
4. Watch for success output in Cydia
Reboot, and enjoy your unlocked iPhone
