I have reviewed tons of free web applications lately that allows you to add funny effects to your photos without needing a third party software or professional’s help. In addition to that I also reviewed 20 free Image editors you can use for your basic editing. Recently I have compiled a list 7 awesome websites that lets you to add Photoshop like effects to your images and help you create something brilliant out of any ordinary picture.
PsykoPaint is an excellent web service that gives your images an original painting feel. It offers a free tool that lets you turn your pictures into paintings. You can easily turn these images to something amazing by simply grabbing one of the provided brushes and start painting on top of your image.
When the image is ready you can download it to your computers or publish on PsykoPaint gallery for everyone to see. You may also check out its public gallery and see what others came up with. It comes totally free of charge and doesn’t require a sign up.
ImageMixer is a free image generator that mixes images from its own library and creates something new and original for you to use as your desktop wallpapers.
The whole process is quiet simple. All you have to do is go to the site, customize picture parameters in terms of size, color, patterns, shape, opacity etc and then click on “Remix” button. The image will be generated almost simultaneously, if you didn’t like it, you can hit “Remix” button again and get another one.
Viscosity is a modern art generator that lets you create beautiful abstract art and store it on your hard drive. It was created by Microsoft employee, Jeff Weir. It won the Best Art award the same year. It’s fun, it’s beautiful and it’s free.

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. I think this is totally brilliant..the results may not be as good as something you would expect from a Professional Photoshop expert but since i dont know anything about photoshop I now know where to go and add effects to my images and create my own unique wallpapers.
