Firefox is one of the most powerful browser and the most recommended one as well. I can’t imagine browsing on anything else myself. It’s probably because its fast, secure and offers thousands of useful add ons for your comfort. Bloggers like me obviously stumble upon lots of things everyday and would definitely like to make full use of the valuable content for their readers. Following are some of the most useful Firefox add ons you can download today to speed up your browsing and blogging process,

TwitterBar: TwitterBar allows you to post to Twitter from Firefox’s address bar. A small Twitter icon sits to the right of your address bar; clicking on it will post your tweet, and you can hover your mouse over it to see how many characters you have left.

ClipMarks: I have been using this add-on for quiet some time and find it really useful. Instead of linking to entire web pages,it lets you clip exactly what you want others to see. This browser add-on lets you save and share what you’re reading on the web with greater precision than is possible with links. There are lots of things you can do with your clips. You can copy the content and

  • Save them on Clipmarks.com
  • Post directly to your blog
  • Email them to friends
  • Print them

FireFTP: FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers. Along with transferring your files quickly and efficiently, FireFTP also includes more advanced features such as: directory comparison, syncing directories while navigating, SFTP, SSL encryption, search/filtering, integrity checks, remote editing, drag & drop, file hashing, and much more!

Create Short URLS: An easy to use service that lets you shorten long urls with just a click of a button. Simply right click an address, click wrapURL, and create a shortened URL for your use.

FireBug: Firebug integrates beautifully with Firefox to put a wealth of development tools at your fingertips while you browse. You can edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript live in any web page.

GreaseMonkey: An add-on that allows you to customize the way a webpage displays using small bits of JavaScript.

LinkChecker: LinkChecker allows you to check the validity of links on any webpage.

MySpace Blog Editor: The MySpace Blog Editor allows you to post directly from within Firefox to your MySpace blog aswell as save notes, drag and drop formatted text from webpages, handle images and much more.

FotoFox: An exellent add-on that allows you to drag, drop and arrange pictures adding photo titles, and create albums by multi-selecting photos, and then upload to one of a selection of online photo services all of this without interrupting your Internet browsing.

Shareaholic: Shareaholic: Shareaholic is the ultimate add-on for the link sharing addict. If you use any site like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Digg, Google Gmail, StumbleUpon, etc you’ll likely enjoy having Shareaholic by your side. Make your life easier. No more looking for web publisher provided buttons, and no more bookmarklets piling up. This add-on enables you to quickly, and very easily share, bookmark, and e-mail web pages via a wide array of your favorite web 2.0 social networking, bookmarking, blogging, and email services.

Session Manager: Session Manager saves and restores the state of all windows – either when you want it or automatically at startup and after crashes. Additionally it offers you to reopen (accidentally) closed windows and tabs.

ScribeFire: ScribeFire is a full-featured blog editor that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog. You can drag and drop formatted text from pages you are browsing, take notes, upload images, and post to multiple blogs.

Tabinta: Tabinta lets you insert tab characters in multi-line text input fields. The name itself is a shorthand for “Tab in Textarea”. The default tab key behavior in Mozilla/Firefox textareas is to go to the next form field. This extension is for people who prefer inserting actual tab characters into these fields.

Fireshot: FireShot is a Firefox extension that creates screenshots of web pages. Unlike other extensions, this plugin provides a set of editing and annotation tools, which let users quickly modify web captures and insert text annotations and graphical annotations. Such functionality will be especially useful for web designers, testers and content reviewers.

The captures can be:

  • uploaded to FREE public screenshot hosting
  • saved to disk (PNG, GIF, JPEG, BMP)
  • printed
  • copied to clipboard
  • emailed
  • sent to configurable external editor for further processing.

FastDial: Fast Dial replaces blank tabs with a panel of thumbnails of your favorite sites. So  whenever you open a new tab it will show you the list of websites you have added. From there simply click the thumbnail to open the website immediately. Plus point for Fast Dial is that it allows you to add up to 100 websites with the customization options.

Blogger Bar: This Firefox Toolbar allows you to Search Blogger, and Blogger Profiles and includes a “Blog This” function, which allows you to Blog a link, and information about the current page you’re on. Brings the power of Blogger into a single toolbar.

JustBlogIt: JustBlogIt is a  Firefox extension to allow easy right-click posting to a weblog. From any website your new blog post is only a right-click away. What I like about JustblogIt is that it supports posting to a variety of weblog system types and is not specific to just one. You can also use the custom setting to add any weblog type you want.

BugMeNot: An excellent extension that allows you to bypass compulsory web registration via the right-click context menu. Don’t want to register to read an article? BugMeNot gives you other people’s logins

Morning Coffee: This extension lets you organize websites by day and open them up simultaneously as part of your daily routine. This is really handy if you read sites that update on a regular schedule.

AdBlockPlus: If you easily get annoyed by all those ads and banners on the internet that often take longer to download than everything else on the page then this add on is for you.  Just install Adblock Plus now and get rid of them.

Meebo: I simply love this add on.  It’s your one stop to instant messaging across all major IM networks and it will available within your browser. It works great with  AIM, Yahoo, Msn and Gtalk. I guess that is all we need.
