VirtualBox 2.2.0 Free Downloads
VirtualBox is a feature rich product for enterprise customers. It is capable of running on almost all the major operating systems such as Linux, Mac and Windows. It supports a large number of guest operatng systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4 and 2.6), Solaris and OpenSolaris, and OpenBSD.

The earlier release of VirtualBox version 2.1.2 was released back in January 2009. Today, another major update has been rolled out with the following new features
- Host-only networking mode
- Hypervisor optimizations with significant performance gains for high context switching rates
- Raised the memory limit for VMs on 64-bit hosts to 16GB
- VT-x/AMD-V are enabled by default for newly created virtual machines
- USB (OHCI & EHCI) is enabled by default for newly created virtual machines (Qt GUI only)
- Experimental USB support for OpenSolaris hosts
- Shared folders for Solaris and OpenSolaris guests
- OpenGL 3D acceleration for Linux and Solaris guests
- Added C API in addition to C++, Java, Python and Web Services
Among the many improvements are support for OVF appliances, 3D acceleration for Linux/Solaris guests and support for up to 16GB of RAM per virtual machine.. In addition to that they have fixed tons of other bugs.
