Play Nintendo Wii Games directly from SD cards
Great news of Nintendo Wii users, Nintendo has provided a solution for Wii’s painfully underdeveloped onboard storage by endowing the console with the ability to boot games directly off of SD cards. Before this any downloaded game was enabled to be installed on the Wii, but with the System’s meager 512 MB flash memory, that only left space for a handful of titles.

With the 4.0 System update, the “SD Card Channel” has appeared. You will be able to see a small icon of an SD card on the lower left hand side of the screen when any SD card is loaded in the Wii console. Once you click it it will open an alternate Wii Menu in black instead of white aptly titled the SD Menu. From this point onward any game stored on the SD card can be launched and played without having to fully install them.
