Microsoft released MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 3

Microsoft has just released a complete replacement of MSXML 4.0, MSXML 4.0 SP1 and MSXML 4.0 SP2 known as Microsoft XML Core Services a.k.a MSXML 4.0 SP3. This new service pack includes a number of security bug fixes as well as reliability improvements.

MSXML 4 SP3 is a Download Center only release and is applicable to the following Windows Operation Systems:

Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1
Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2
Windows Server 2008
Windows Vista
Windows Vista Service Pack 1
Windows XP Service Pack 2
Windows XP Service Pack 3

If you have previously installed MSXML 4.0 SP3 BETA, you MUST uninstall the BETA package before installing MSXML 4.0 SP3 RTM. There are two options for downloading MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 3 (SP3):

Use msxml.msi to install MSXML 4.0 SP3 on your computer. You may also save msxml.msi to your local disk to install later.
Use msxmlcab.exe to download the CAB file to redistribute MSXML over the Internet.
