Disable User Accounts Control Pop-up in Vista
I earlier wrote about how you can disable Verisoft Pop-ups in Windows Vista. There is one other pop-up that annoys me the most. It’s the User Account Control window that pops up every time you open an application or a folder.
To disable it follow the steps below.
Click Start > Go to Control Panel and click User Accounts.

Double click User Accounts, when a new window pops up, you will get the option to
- Create password for your account
- Change your Picture
- Change your account name
- Change your account type
- Manage another account and
- Turn User Account Control on or off
Click “Turn User Account Control on or off” and un-check the option “Use User Account Control to help protect your computer”.

Click OK and restart your computer. Vista will stop showing the User Account Control in future.
