Speed up Firefox with FasterFox
I have just stumbled upon a very useful Firefox extension that allows you to load your webpages faster than ever . FasterFox allows you to tweak many network and rendering settings such as simultaneous connections, pipelining, cache, DNS cache, and initial paint delay.

It almost makes waiting for a page to load entertaining. The background effects of FasterFox aren’t quite noticeable on a fast connection, but on dial-up and lower-end DSL setups, it works great.
In simple words, it makes your browser fast by controlling how Firefox uses available processing power to download pages and background links so they will display even faster when you view them.
