Google introduced Latitude Gps friendly tracking sytem
Google has decided to expand their services with a social component known as Latitude. This new feature allows all users who run Chrome, Smartphones or a special iGoogle gadget to identity your current location to your friends or follow them while they are on the go.
With Google Latitude, you can:
- See where your friends are and what they are up to
- Quickly contact them with SMS, IM, or a phone call
- Maintain complete control over your privacy
You will even have the option to share, set or hide your location or simply turn off Google Latitude from the privacy menu to avoid people from tracking you.
There is this new feature that allows you to create your status message and even let you upload your photo that you can place on your location within Latitude. It’s also a great way to check your friends’ status messages to see what they are up to.
Readers using Google Maps Mobile on BlackBerry OS, Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile smartphones should get an update immediately while other users who are using G1 phones will have the software soon. The feature is yet to be available for iPhone and iPod as well.Enjoy Google Latitude on your phone, PC, or both.
