CopyGator : Check who is stealing your Blog Content

If you’re sick and tired of all the people who are stealing your blog content and you find it almost impossible to track them down then worry no more about it. I just stumbled upon this wonderful website that allows you to track these people down and deal with them.

It only bothered me as soon as I saw my own articles in Google Search Engine which were above my own Domain. Sadly I even had to ask the hosting companies to shut down a few websites. I seriously didn’t want to do that but after giving tons of warnings I couldn’t help it.

CopyGator is a web based service that allows you to check who is stealing your content with in a matter of seconds. All you have to do is enter your blog url and click “show me”.

It will bring down a good list of people who might be stealing your content without your permission. The service will provide you with an overview page where you can see how, when, where your content is being used.

The website is awesome and I think all the bloggers must have this bookmarked because it may come in handy quiet often.

Note that most of these people will be using the trackback feature which really isn’t a problem but if someone is totally stealing your content as in Copy/Paste from your blog to their own then you should take care of it.
