Play Educational Games to Feed the Poor
Ever felt like donating money or food to the poor? If you do then here’s your chance to make it happen by only spending your time on a website called FreeRice.
FreeRice is unique in it’s own way. All you have to do is log on to the website, get the correct answer for the given question. Each correct answer donates 20 grains of rice to the poor through the UN World Food program.
While answering these questions you get to learn new vocabulary, formulate your ideas better,comprehend of what you read, get better grades in school and perform better at job interviews and conferences.
You can choose your topic from 5 different subjects including Art, Chemistry, English, Geography and Math. You can also learn new words by answering these questions in Spanish, Italian, French and German language.
The only thing people wonder about is “who pays for the donated rice”. According to the website the rice is paid for by the sponsors whose names you see on the bottom of your screen when you enter a correct answer. These sponsors support both learning and reducing hunger.
Following are some of the few places where FreeRice Rice has been donated

- In Cambodia, to provide take-home rations of four kilograms of rice for two months to 13,500 pregnant and nursing women.
- In Uganda, to feed 66,000 school children for a week.
- In Nepal, to feed over 108,000 Bhutanese refugees for three days.
- In Bhutan, to feed 41,000 children for 8 days.
- In Myanmar, to feed 750,000 cyclone affected people for 3 days.
