Intel Launching three 65W Quad Cores In January
Intel is planning to introduce 3 new low power Quad cores which will fit under 65W boot. It will own almost any other quad-core today. Intel’s 65 quad cores CPUs are Yorkfeild, Core 2 quad 45nm based and the fastest one core 2 Quad Q9559s will run at 2.83GHz. It also supports FSB 1333 and 12MB on memory
The second in line is Q9400s clocked at 2.66GHz with FSB 1333 and 6MB cache support again it’s a 65W, 45nm, Yorkfield based CPU.
The slowest among these 3 Quad cores is the Q9200s which is clocked at 2.33Hz with FSB 1333 and 4MB cache. It will hopefully be the most decent quad-core that will save the earth and overclockers can hope that this lower TDP part should probably overclock better.
Apparently Apple, Acer, HP and Dell are planning to launch products with the new processors.
