World’s Biggest Mouse is Here!
Weston Boege is an industrial designer who loves problem solving, Industrial Design, Toy Design, Entertainment Design, graphic design, and Urban Vinyl. He is currently working for Empire Prototyping and Product Development in the field of Industrial Design. Recently he decided to design the World’s Biggest Mouse. It comes with a keyboard which rests on low friction pads and allows you to slide it around your desk picking up the movement through an optical sensor mounted underneath.
The keyboard also integrates traditional mousing controls into the moulded palm rest that grips your hands as they move. It’s definitely a unique idea but some of you might not find it comfortable because the keys seemed to be joined together.
Weston Boege explained “The Glide keyboard uses an optical sensor to detect movement, much like a conventional mouse. The keyboard rests on four low friction pads ensuring a smooth and effortless motion to move the mouse. In the center of the keyboard within reach of the thumbs, a scroll wheel and conventional mouse buttons retain traditional controls. The glide keyboard has ergonomic pam rests allowing the grip needed to be able to move the keyboard around on the desk”
