Windows 7 New Features Leaked
Microsoft has updated the Windows 7 Pre-release today and there are some new features revealed as well. New features mentioned in the privacy supplement posted at Windows 7 Blog are
Driver Protection
Driver Protection checks a database that is maintained locally for drivers. It helps prevent the operating system from starting drivers that are known to cause stability problems. Windows 7 will notify the user about the problematic driver beacuse it contains a list of drivers that are known to cause problems.
Dynamic update
Dynamic update is another new feature that is used during the installation to connect to Windows update to find any new updates and drivers. It’s basically a one time check with the Windows update website so that it can get the latest updates for your computer while Windows is being installed. These updates will be downloaded and installed automatically.
HomeGroup
HomeGroup allows you to link Windows 7 computers on your home network so that you can easily share your pictures, music, videos, documents and devices.
Internet Printing
When you use this feature to print, you will first need to connect and authenticate yourself to an internet print server. Internet Printing makes it possible to use printers located anywhere by sending print jobs using Hypertext Transfer Protocol. It will print the information depending on the level of security e.g you might be asked to provide a user name and password.
Online print ordering wizard
It allows you send digital pictures from your computer to an online photo printing service of your choice. You can then have these pictures printed and delivered using postal mail or you can always pick them up from the local store.
People Near Me
This new feature allows you to send invites for programs to other people in the local networks.Users who are invited need to have it installed on the computer as well.
Trusted Platform Module
Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Services is an implementation of Trusted Computing which has caused privacy concerns. It enables your computer to take full advantage of advaned security features such as BitLocker Drive Encryption.
