Block Safari Ads on your JailBroken iPhone/iPod
It is always a pain in the ass for iPhone users to keep waiting for a page to load in mobile Safari, specially when you come to know that most of it is filled with ads. Lucky for them James is Bored has found a way to block most of these ads. Simply follow the simple steps and block ads on your JailBroken iPhone.
1. First you will need to jailbreak your iPhone. Once done install OpenSSH from Cydia
2. Restart your phone and Navigate to /etc/.
3. Now download the replacement hosts file. Get it from HERE
4. Using a FTP client open an SFTP connection with your iPhone’s IP address as the host. Drag that file to the Cyberduck window. Click on Replace when it asks you to.
5. Restart your phone and when you’re back on the web again you will see compressed frames where you use to see the ads.
