Windows Live Messenger For iPhone Launched
I have got some great news for iPhone and other Apple device owners: Microsoft has finally released the official iPhone app for Windows Live Messenger.
This app is long overdue. iPhone owners had been desperate for an official Microsoft app for their beloved network – Windows Live. This launch follows a long wait for it. But the wait was definitely worth it.
To start with, all the features you would expect the app to have, it has. These include being able to communicate instantly with your Windows Live Messenger contacts and accessing your Hotmail account. The app extends these features in two great ways: firstly, you will get instant message notifications even if you the app close and secondly, you can read and respond to emails by accessing the Hotmail account.
Moreover the app pays considerable attention to photo sharing. You can upload photos via the app, add captions to add the background story or make them more interesting, and share it with your friends and family.
In addition to the abovementioned features, Windows Live Messenger app goes beyond the Windows Live network – it allows you to view updates from contacts on networks like Facebook, Flickr, MySpace, and more. Having updates delivered in a single stream can tremendously help you cut through the clutter on the go.
This app is available for free from the app store, is compatible with iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad, and requires iOS 3.0 or later.
