iOS 4 Jailbreak tool Redsn0w 0.9.5 Updated for Windows and Mac
We’ve been closely following the updates and releases of the iOS 4 jailbreaking tool, Redsn0w 0.9.5 by iPhone Dev Team. Word has just hit the internet about the release of the latest Beta version of RedSn0w. This release is closest to the final release of RedSn0w jailbreak tool for iOS 4. The latest beta version, like the ones before it, is for jailbreaking iOS 4 running on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G. The newest feature added to this beta release is the support to enable battery percentage which otherwise is disabled by Apple.
The iPhone Dev Team described the new feature as follows, “The latest redsn0w beta lets you individually select whether multitasking and homescreen wallpaper are enabled. It also adds battery percentage and verbose boot mode options. (Verbose boot shows you the kernel messages during boot)
Note: Once you enable battery percentage, you actually toggle it off and on via Settings→General→Usage.”
Users who haven’t been following RedSn0w must note that this release is just for officially supported iPhones. If you are using an unlocked phone, then don’t use this tool to jailbreak your iOS.

The final version of Redsn0w is expected after Apple finally launches the final version of iOS 4 on Monday, June 21, 2010.
