Free Application to Backup/Restore/Share data on iPhone
IDrive is a free iPhone application that allows you to backup, restore and share your iPhone data with others.
If you have already updated your iPhone software to 2.0, then you simply need to install the Open Drive Lite application on your iPhone and follow the easy procedure below to get started.
- Open IDrive Lite after installing the app on your iPhone.
- Tap the ‘Backup’ button to backup all your contact information which includes names and mobile numbers. The contact information gets backed up.
- In case you lose or delete a contact information and would like to restore it, just select the ‘Restore’ tab and click the ‘Restore’ button to get back all the contact information on your iPhone.
The Restore process is smart enough to leave new contacts untouched and only restore contacts that are missing.
To share you data with others tap the ‘Share’ button which will open the share page from where you can view, select and share the contact(s) information with your associate. Similarly, to receive data from others tap the ‘Import’ button. On entering the import key, which you have received via SMS, the shared contact(s) information is added to your contacts list with ‘(IDrive Lite)’ suffixed to it.
