Google’s New Experimental Interface
Stumble it!Google is going to run another simplified experimental interface with Google’s search button that comes up with a list of suggestions. In addition to that, more changes will be made including the direct access to the top result for navigational queries, direct answers and suggestions from your search history.
According to Google, since people tend to replace the address box from their browsers with Google’s seach box, it just makes sense for Google to make the search powerful enough to provide faster access to search results.
They also mentioned if Google’s search box first became ubiquitous through Google Toolbar, then Google Toolbar’s search box evolved into Chrome’s Omnibox, the added functionality should now be included in Google’s homepage.
